Delicious tomato based Paneer recipe
This is a delicious, mild paneer recipe! It is great for meal prep and freezes very well.

Ingredients
Enough butter to coat the bottom of the pot
1 onion
3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1 inch ginger
1 green chili
4 tomatoes, chopped
1 tablespoon tomato paste
2 tablespoons coriander seeds
1 tbsp chili flakes
3 cloves
4 cardamom
1 tsp fennel seed
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon hot chili powder
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons heavy cream
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon sugar
1 large green bell pepper cut into cubes
1 block of paneer, cubed
Cilantro
Lemon
Rice to serve
Step 1: To make the base
Add enough butter so that it coats the bottom of the pan when melted. Add the onions and cook, covered until softened. Add green chili, ginger and garlic and cook for two more minutes. Add the tomatoes and the tomato paste and cook covered until they are dissolved.
Step 2: To finish the base
Add the spices. Add the water and cook, covered for 5 minutes (or until you are ready to add the other ingredients)
Step 3: To finish the curry
Add the cream, salt and sugar and return to a simmer. Add the paneer and green peppers. Cook for 5 minutes until the peppers are softened.
Step 3: To serve
Serve over rice. Garnish with cilantro and lemon.
